These terms govern your use of Cartographer, operated by [registered entity to be completed], trading as Cartographer Intelligence. By creating an account you agree to them.
Cartographer measures whether and how a brand appears in the answers of AI search systems. An analysis submits your question to one exact measured surface, repeats it a fixed number of times, and retains a normalized observation of each answer with its cited sources, measurement context, timestamp, and a hash reference to the underlying provider artifact.
The Early Access plan includes 10 analyses and 30 retained observations per billing period, for 1 verified property. Capabilities shown in the public sample workspace that are not listed on the pricing page are not part of what you are buying.
An observation records what a third-party AI system answered at a point in time, on a specific surface. Those systems change without notice and are not deterministic. We do not promise that a measurement will reproduce, that your visibility will improve, or that any particular result will appear in any AI system.
Measurements are evidence for your own judgement. They are not professional advice, and we are not responsible for decisions you make on the basis of them.
You must be able to form a binding contract and must give accurate registration details. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. One workspace belongs to one account holder.
Before any analysis runs you must prove control of the domain you add by publishing a DNS TXT record we generate for it. Do not add a domain you do not control.
Do not use the service to break the law, to infringe anyone’s rights, to submit another person’s confidential information as an analysis question, to attempt to exceed or circumvent your plan limits, to probe or disrupt our infrastructure or that of the providers we measure, or to resell measurements as your own service without our agreement.
Early Access costs $29 per month in USD, charged in advance and renewing automatically each period until cancelled. Payment is handled by our payment processor; we never receive your card details.
Paid capacity is granted only after the signed payment event is reconciled, not at the moment checkout completes. Included analyses do not carry over between periods.
You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in your account. Cancellation stops the next renewal and your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. If a renewal payment fails, access ends when the paid period expires.
Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice by email, taking effect at your next renewal. Stated prices exclude any tax we are required to collect.
If the service fails to deliver the analyses included in a period because of a fault on our side, write to support@cartographer.tools and we will refund that period in full.
Outside that, a period that has begun is not refundable, because each analysis spends real money with the provider being measured. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction granting a statutory cancellation right, that right applies and is not affected by this section.
You keep ownership of the questions you submit and the property information you enter. You grant us the permission needed to run the service: to send your question to the measured provider, and to store and display the resulting observations back to you.
We keep ownership of Cartographer itself, including the software, interface, measurement definitions, and formula versions. Retained observations and their evidence are yours to export and use.
The service is provided as is, without warranties beyond those that cannot be excluded by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely we will give account holders at least 30 days’ notice and refund any unused prepaid period.
We depend on third-party providers for hosting, authentication, payment, email, and the answer engines we measure. Their outages will affect the service.
To the fullest extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms or that puts the service or its providers at risk, and will tell you why unless we are prevented from doing so. On termination your access ends and your data is handled as described in the privacy policy.
We will give account holders at least 30 days’ notice by email before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction to be completed], whose courts have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory protection available to you as a consumer where you live.
